Who we are
Rootstock Labs stewards Rootstock — the sidechain secured by over 80% of Bitcoin's hashrate. We ship the tooling, research, and partnerships that turn Bitcoin into productive collateral: yield, on-chain lending, and asset tokenization, without giving up self-custody.
We work with miners, treasuries and builders to move Bitcoin from a store of value into a working financial layer. This challenge is part of that work.
The Challenge
An AI wrote a field guide to your industry. If you run a mining operation, you know things it cannot — and we would rather have those things than pretend we already do. So we are turning that gap into a contest.
Read the guide, and where it is wrong, thin, or naïve, tell us — and tell us what is actually true.
Find a factual error and fix it. A wrong efficiency spec, a misattributed deal, a number that was true last quarter and is not now, an operator miscategorised. The cleanest kind of win: verifiable, and it improves the guide immediately.
Add what only an operator knows. The lived detail the public record never captures — what a PPA actually contains past the headline rate, how a curtailment program really settles, what a hosting contract's fine print does to your effective cost, why a vintage of machine over- or under-performs its datasheet.
Dispute a judgment. The guide takes positions — on the AI pivot, on which operators are well-placed, on where the industry is heading. If you think a position is wrong, argue the other side. We publish the strongest challenges alongside our response, including the ones we lose.
